“As a child of two educators and as a mother of small children, I see first-hand the impact of education on the life and trajectory of a child. Before motherhood, I lacked a concrete understanding of the linkages between education and a child’s self-esteem, drive, motivation, and ultimately self-worth. Seeing my children’s eyes light up when they conquer that reading word, or figure out the math problem, truly energizes me. It makes me hopeful that I can impact other children who long for, and deserve a quality education like my parents gave me.”
